Building on skills developing rich characters and emotionally engaging, artfully paced plots he honed as a screenwriter, William has transferred to fiction the skills that have earned him scores of screenwriting awards. Competition judges routinely comment on the visceral emotion and evocative visuals that animate his pages.

His debut novel, Someone to Watch Over, won the Women’s Fiction Writers Association’s 2019 Rising Star Award. In screenwriting, he has earned Best Screenplay awards at film festivals from California to the Carolinas, as well as placed among the top finishers in such prestigious competitions as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowship Screenwriting Program and Amazon Studios.
